M1940 Double Decal Combat Police German Helmet "Veteran Bringback"

This is a great looking Original M1940 Double Decal Combat Police German Helmet.   This Q64 M40 Heer German helmet retains almost 100% of its dark green rough texture paint.   The helmet also still has the original liner.  The single banded zinc galvanized liner is the correct M31, size 56 and it has the original drawstring.  The leather exhibits quite a bit of wear but there are no tears or holes.   The rivets are tight, and match the exterior paint perfectly.  The chinstrap appears to have been cut off as there are pieces of the strap remaining on both sides.   

The Police decal rates at 99%.  The decal is clearly a period decal and nicely snuggled into the rough texture paint.  The Police decals is very deep Gold and is beautiful under a loupe.   The National Socialist Party Decal rates at about 99%, is nice toned and snuggled into the paint as well.   Clearly both decals are original to the helmet.    Q indicates that this helmet was manufactured at the Quist firm plant in Esslingen, Germany.   The production number appears to be DN195.  This great DD Police helmet comes direct from the family of the US Army Veteran that brought this one back.  His name will be provided to the buyer.  Overall, a fine examples of the Combat Police.  This M1940 Q 64 Double Decal Combat Police is guaranteed to be 100% authentic.  This helmet comes with my Written Lifetime Guarantee and Certificate of Authenticity.
